Electrofisher, used frequently to catch

host fish for the mussels.

This is a "living stream", used to keep

mature mussels we have collected until

they areneeded or released. Water is

pumped in from one end and drained

out the other, emulating stream flow.

We use these scopes to count juvenile

mussels. Maximum magnification is 40x .
